ALBIZIA FALCATA

Albizia Falcata (Sengon Jawa) pioneers and remains a highly significant multipurpose tree species in Indonesia. It is one of the tree species that Indonesian industrial forest plantations choose due to its extremely rapid growth, versatility in soil requirements, favorable silvicultural traits, and acceptable wood quality for the panel and plywood industries. Sengon is even recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest-growing tree in the world.

Sengon is also a nitrogen-fixing species and is frequently planted for reforestation and afforestation to increase soil fertility (Heyne 1987). Its natural leaf and branch decay provides the topsoil layers with nitrogen, organic matter, and minerals that fertilizes the soil naturally.

MERANTI

Meranti (Shorea spp.) is a light hardwood species that is not only sustainably farmed, but also of excellent quality and well suited to resist the harshness of outdoor use. The big trees, which can occasionally reach heights of 200 ft with 6 ft trunks, produce wood with medium to coarse textures and exhibit a range of colors from reddish-brown to brown to pale pink.

Meranti wood is easy to smooth and cut. It’s not as hard as mahogany and has brittleness that requires special approaches to machine, shape, or carve; however, after its open grain has been filled, it finishes beautifully and will withstand any stain. It also holds up well to painting, but make sure the open grain is filled or primed first. Also, Meranti wood does not warp and can retain its dimensions since it is unaffected by humidity or temperature changes.

KERUING

More than 70 species of the genus Dipterocarpus produce the timber known as keruing. These medium hardwoods are native to South East Asia, where they are taken from managed forests that have active regeneration plans.

Keruing wood is durable, low maintenance, and great for outdoor furniture. The wood is robust and considered to be durable, making it suitable for use in building. It is frequently used as a less expensive alternative to oak for heavy construction, decking, the construction of vehicles, and sleepers. It is also used in plywood. Whereas other timbers might need to be cured, keruing is already fully cured and ready for use right away with no chance of leaching, bleeding, or sap leaking.

MERBAU

Merbau (Intsia bijuga), also known as Kwila or Borneo Teak is a heavy hardwood tree that is known for its durability, termite-resistant quality, and distinctive golden streaks, making it an excellent choice for both structural and decorative purposes. Our Merbau is sourced legally and verified by both Indonesian authority through SVLK certification, and internationally through FSC certification.

Density: 800-900 kg/m³
