PT. GEMA LESTARI INDONESIA (GLI) was established in 2014, helmed by a team with more than 20 years of experience in the wood industry. Started from a small log trading business, today we have expanded into manufacturing timber products, such as decking, flooring, and plywood products.
We are a registered SVLK (Sistem Verifikasi dan Legalitas Kayu) manufacturer in Indonesia that is committed to source only from legal and sustainable timber, as well as manufacturing best quality products that satisfies our global customers’ standards and requirements.
SPEARHEADING A GREENER TIMBER INDUSTRY
Diversifying the species we work with to include plantation forest species like Albizia Falcata that are versatile, fast-growing, and able to grow in degraded soils. As producers, ensuring consistent availability for suppliers to procure these timbers are one of the ways we can contribute to encourage the usage of more sustainable timbers.
Wood origin and manufacturing process are certified by SVLK and Japan Agricultural Standard (JAS). We are also US CARB & EPA compliant.
Optimizing outputs derived from a tree and reducing waste material by investing in manufacturing engineered wood products such as finger-joint goods.
Giving back to our local communities by handing out Sengon seeds to residents periodically. By giving these seeds, we hope to give additional income that can multiply in the future. We also engage in active discussions with the local government as a stakeholder to advance local economies in our surrounding area.

PT. Gema Lestari Indonesia recognizes the importance of the environment and sustainability in our area of business. We are committed to the maintenance of the Chain of Custody (CoC) standards of the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC).
We only work with suppliers who are certified, and can provide us with assurance regarding their forestry practices. We also encourage our customers to work with end users who conform to recognized industry standards.
Most importantly, we implement our best efforts to avoid trading and using wood from the following categories:
• Illegally harvested wood, • Conflicted timber, • Wood harvested in forest where high conversation values are threatened by management activities, • Wood harvested in forest being converted to plantations or non-forest use. • Wood harvested in violation of traditional and civil rights, • Wood from forests in which genetically modified trees are planted, and • Violation of any of the ILO Core Conventions, as defined in the ILO Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at work, 1998.
